The right service providers instead of an undifferentiated list

Name the activity you are looking for, such as tax advice or management consultancy, and the federal state. To match against your existing company list, the register number can be the required field.

The industry as a whole contains several activities. Entries with an email address are not verified decision-maker contacts and contain no consent to marketing emails (§ 174 TKG 2021).

Price of the whole industry: €449. A selection by region, sub-industry or required fields is quoted individually; the whole-industry price is not a price promise for the filtered selection.

What counts as Business and consulting services

The industry combines three ÖNACE divisions that belong together for clients with advisory needs but are separate in the statistics: legal and tax advice, management consultancy, and advertising and market research. Architecture and engineering offices (division 71) have an industry of their own.

Many of these businesses are small practices and sole proprietorships. The legal form therefore matters as much as the activity: an audit firm organised as a GmbH needs a different approach from a solo practice.

Chamber lists: public, but meant for individual enquiries

Many professions in this industry are organised in chambers. Their lists are public, but they are not an address directory for marketing.

List of lawyers
Entries in the list of lawyers are published by the Austrian Bar on its website (§ 5(5) RAO).
Tax advisers and auditors
The Chamber of Tax Advisers and Auditors keeps member lists with name, professional seat and type of authorisation open to public inspection (§ 173 WTBG 2017).
Management consultancy
Management consultancy including business organisation is a regulated trade (§ 94 no. 74 GewO); the licence can be checked individually in GISA.

  • number of staff and turnover
  • client structure
  • personal direct lines and email addresses

Activity and legal form: two filters that belong together

Division 69 covers both lawyers and tax advisers. If you only want one profession, name the class (69.10 or 69.20). Firms with both focuses appear in the statistics under their main activity only.

Solo practices are natural persons. Their data are personal data; for a postal mailing, the information duty under Art. 14 GDPR and the right to object under Art. 21 GDPR apply.

Marketing emails and sales calls to firms require prior consent, also in B2B (§ 174 TKG 2021). A letter is the right channel for a first approach.
